BURLINGTON BAROQUE has been founded in 2024 to present concerts of historically informed performance to Burlington, Vermont and its region.
Performances feature Montréal's critically-acclaimed period-instrument orchestra L'Harmonie des saisons, vocal soloists of international distinction, and members of the Burlington Baroque Festival Singers, a select ensemble of vocalists from across the state of Vermont, which has been constituted specially to collaborate on Burlington Baroque projects.
The Festival Singers joined artists-in-residence ensemble L'Harmonie des saisons in their first performance, J. S. Bach's St John Passion, on Sunday, March 24, 4:00 p.m.at College Street Congregational Church, Burlington.
Under the direction of Eric Milnes, and in collaboration with L'Harmonie des saisons Artistic Director Mélisande Corriveau,
Burlington Baroque will offer the inaugural Burlington Baroque Festival 2024.
